The key to a healthy and balanced diet is to eat a variety of foods. Your diet should ensure that you are getting Recommended Daily Allowance of nutrients. RDA is the amounts of selected nutrients considered adequate to meet the known nutrient needs of healthy people.
Intake of foods from the Fat group should be less than 30% of your daily food intake. The healthiest types of fat to choose are unsaturated fats such as sunflower oil or corn oil. The types of fat to stay away from are the saturated fats such as butter. |

When someone is injured or suddenly becomes seriously ill, there is usually a critical period before you can get emergency treatment and it is this period that is of vital importance to the victim. It is very important know few basic first aid tips and to understand procedures that you can apply quickly in an emergency.

Make sure your household has a first aid kit. Also, make sure your kit easily accessible. |

Keep your first aid kit, all medications, including non-prescription drugs out of children's reach. |

Before assisting a victim, protect yourself first. Whenever possible, wear gloves to protect yourself from blood and other bodily fluids. |
