Women Welfare
Dharti Vikas Mandal’s women welfare activities have brought about a change in the lives of women giving by adding a new perspective to their lives. Women are provided with skills necessary to generate sustainable sources of livelihood or seek self-employment.

Caste system in India continues to be source of grave inequality and social injustice. Economic disparities have also contributed significantly towards social injustices. In order to give impetus to economic empowerment of women Mahila Jagruti Mandal organizes various reform programs under “Uma Mahila Mandir” and “Mahila Swavlamban Kendra”. These reform centers conduct various economic and vocational training programs. |

With an professed philosophy of bringing about progressive change in society and improve the lives of women Mahila Swawlamban Kendra was established by Dharti Vikas Mandal.
Mahila Swawlamban Kendra symbolizes the power of women to overcome adverse circumstances. The main emphasis of Mahila Swawlamban Kendra is economic empowerment of women and encouragement to participate in small-scale industries (popularly known as Gruh Udyog).Women are encouraged to participate in activities like knitting, embroidery and preparation of widely popular Indian snacks. These snacks are widely popular, high on nutrition value and prepared in absolutely hygienic conditions. The snacks are sold and exported to different parts of the world and women participating in these activities earn daily wages thereby enabling economic independence.
Mahila Swawlamban Kendra functions on the principle of “No profit No Loss” basis with core emphasis mainly to create employment opportunities for women. |

Dharti Vikas Mandal has set up counseling center to provide professional and expert counseling to overcome family related problems. Our counselors are totally competent to address marriage related problems like family conflicts, domestic violence, dowry and divorce prevention, stress management and parenting guidance. At the counseling center we carefully listen and understand the problems of individuals without being critical and help people make right choices pertaining to their lives. |

UMA MAHILA UDYOG MANDIR |

Dharti Vikas Mandal’s “Mahila Udyog Mandir” aims to provide guidance and training to women without proper educational background or limited financial resources. Mahila Udyog Mandir conducts diploma courses like cooking courses, beauty parlor training, fabric painting, ceramics. Every year approximately 1200 women avail benefits of the courses. The institute also offers latest computer courses at affordable rates. In some cases training is provided free of cost to poor and needy women. The institute also assists in securing bank loans for purchasing computers. |
